Here are some of the most common questions I am asked. If you can’t find the answer to your question, I’d love to hear from you.
1. What ages do you work with?
KDR Photography works with every age and every stage. This means that I have experience working with every age group and I love working with all of them. This is beneficial because I am able to work with your family over the years and further develop our bonds and maintain consistency through yearly portraits.
2. Will I receive printing rights with my session?
3. How long will the session take?
Most sessions are about an hour long.
4. What does “High Resolution File” mean exactly?
The term “high resolution file” refers to the quality of image. The resolution of an image is an important factor in regards for future printing. All delivered files are 300dpi which is the highest possible resolution available.
5. Where do you get your printing done?
I trust my printing to various professional photographer only print labs.
6. We can’t make it to the session reveal. Can you just put the images online so we can choose at home?
If you can’t make it to the session reveal, I will find a time to reschedule. Due to our policy, we will not post images online until after the session reveal has occurred.
7. What is the best time of day to schedule our session?
The best and most loved time of day to work is right before and during sunset. This time-frame is known as “golden hour” and it is the time of day that lends the type of warm golden light that is flattering on everyone. Because sunset occurs at different times during the year and location can block light, the exact time will be decided upon during your pre-session consultation.
8. What is a “pre-session” consultation?
In order to produce the best and most relaxed session possible, I conduct a special meeting prior to your session known as a “pre-session consultation”. During this meeting, we will get to know one another while discussing your questionnaire answers as well as plan out important session details including location and session wardrobe. These meetings are often held in person, but they can also be conducted over the phone.
9. What happens if we need to reschedule?
No problem! If you need to reschedule, a new list of dates will be sent to you. We require at least 48 hours notice to reschedule your session.
10. Do you have a list of locations to choose from or do we have to find our own spot?
Before your session, you will be sent a welcome packet filled with information regarding session location ideas and wardrobe guidance. While I do have different preferred locations, I’m more than happy to discuss any ideas that you may have in regards to your perfect session location.
11. When is the best time to schedule holiday portraits?
Because the holidays are always an incredibly busy time for portraits, it’s important to book your session as soon as possible. Booking for holiday portraits and sessions begins in August and runs until December 13th.
